Our cautious stance for special periods
In 2013, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine established the cellular “vesicle trafficking” mechanism—essentially the instruction manual for how cells package and deliver signals. That insight helps us understand and modulate exosome formation and release, opening possibilities in skin and aesthetic care. As nanoscale couriers of intercellular messages, exosomes have since been widely explored for their potential—one of the most promising ways this century to overcome long-standing bottlenecks in regeneration and repair.
TL;DR
-
Pause for now. During pregnancy and breastfeeding we recommend not using exosome-based products or microneedling/other minimally invasive procedures.
-
When to restart: after the special period ends, resume only with professional evaluation. First session should be a single Pro (1+1) plus a 24–48 h patch test.
-
Meanwhile, do this: keep skincare minimal and gentle—mild cleanse → basic hydration/repair → broad-spectrum (prefer mineral) SPF → consistent sleep and sun/heat avoidance.
Why we say “wait”
-
Population data are limited. Long-term safety data for pregnant/breastfeeding users and topical exosome formats are not sufficient; we choose conservative risk management.
-
Heightened reactivity. Hormonal shifts can make the barrier more fragile (dry itch, erythema, hyperpigmentation); adding actives increases the chance of irritation.
-
Procedure risk. Microneedling and similar techniques are not recommended during pregnancy/breastfeeding.
-
Scope & reassurance. We are a cosmetics brand. We stay within the safety and evidence boundaries appropriate to skincare.
What to do
during
pregnancy & breastfeeding
Goal: keep skin in a “low-irritation, well-protected” state.
-
Cleanse: gentle surfactants, <30 s, lukewarm water.
-
Hydrate/repair: ceramides, cholesterol, squalane, glycerin, hyaluronic acid.
-
Sun protection: mineral/broad-spectrum SPF (zinc oxide/titanium dioxide) + physical shade (hat/umbrella/mask).
-
Lifestyle: regular sleep, avoid steam/sauna and strong friction, manage heat and UV.
-
Avoid: microneedling/RF/laser/fractional procedures; strong acids/peels, strong retinoids, high-% L-ascorbic acid, high-alcohol or heavy-fragrance products.
-
If you have persistent dermatitis/eczema/infection signs: follow your physician’s advice—doctor’s orders take priority over any cosmetic routine.
After the special period ends—how to restart safely
Sequence: non-invasive stabilization first → then consider microneedling/energy devices if your professional approves.
-
Patch test: behind ear/inner forearm 24–48 h.
-
Dose: one vial = one session (EXO-Lyospheres™ freeze-dried + dedicated diluent; fresh-mix right before use).
-
Cadence: every 7–10 days. Start with Pro (1+1); step up to Max (2+2) or Ultra (3+3) only if tolerance is clear.
-
Microneedling day SOP: apply within 0–60 min post-treatment → 10–15 min calming occlusion → keep the first 72 h to hydration/repair + SPF only.
-
Storage & traceability: if splitting is unavoidable, refrigerate 2–8 °C and finish within 48 h; each vial carries LOT / Vial-ID / QR to a Trace Page (COA snapshot, temperature notes). Our fulfillment follows Fresh-Batch 48h.
Quick FAQ
Q: I’d only apply topically and avoid the breast area—can I use it while breastfeeding?
A: We still recommend pausing. Resume after breastfeeding, with professional evaluation.
Q: My skin is very dry and itchy now—what helps?
A: Keep it minimal: ceramide/squalane/glycerin/HA repair, shorter/less frequent cleansing, mineral SPF + shade. If symptoms persist or worsen, see your doctor.
Q: What about home microneedling (≤0.25 mm)?
A: Not advised during pregnancy/breastfeeding.
Q: How soon after delivery can I do microneedling with exosomes?
A: It’s individual. Get a professional assessment; most users restart gradually with Pro (1+1) and a patch test first.
